What it does

A call taker's job is to turn a frightened, fragmented conversation into a precise, actionable incident in under a minute. Traditional setups make that harder than it needs to be: the phone is one system, the text queue is another, the map is a third, and the notes live somewhere else entirely. Every switch between them costs seconds and risks a detail.

Keryx Call collapses that stack into one application built directly on Keryx Core. Whatever medium the caller uses, the session opens in the same pane, their location plots on the map beside it, and the incident record fills in as the conversation unfolds. When the call taker is ready, the whole package — caller, location, media, notes — moves to dispatch, to a partner agency, or to a responder in the field without being retyped.

One view for every medium

Voice, real-time text, text-to-911, and video sessions open in the same conversation pane. A call taker can add a medium mid-call — start video with a voice caller, or reply by text — without dropping the session.

The map is part of the call

Caller location plots the moment the session opens and refreshes as the device reports new coordinates. Rebid, nearest-responder, and jurisdiction boundaries are on the same map, not in a separate tool.

Guided incident capture

Structured prompts adapt to the incident type so the right questions get asked in the right order. Answers populate the record as they are given, ready for dispatch the instant the call taker releases it.

Record everything, recall instantly

Every channel on the session is recorded and time-aligned. A call taker can replay the last few seconds of audio without leaving the call, and supervisors can review the full multimedia timeline afterwards.

Transfer, conference, and bridge

Hand a caller to a neighbouring centre, add a language line, or bring a carrier onto the session — the location, media, and notes travel with the call so nobody has to start again.

Situational awareness to the field

Push the caller's location, a still from their video, or a text thread straight to responding units. Updates from the field flow back into the same record, so the room and the road see the same picture.
